Review my business on yelp.com Here's an article about NoPo in Bike Portland. Thanks NoPo Originally posted on Craig's List 2009-07-01, 5:18PM About six months ago I tried to fix some loose handlebars on my wife’s bicycle. I know next to nothing about bicycles and thought to myself, “How hard could it be?” Well… I stripped out the nut that locks the stem in place. I visited several of the larger bike shops looking for a replacement part, but instead, they said I needed hundreds of dollars of work just to get it able to ride. And so, the bike sat until now. With no help from the local shops and my wife asking how much longer I was planning to work on her handlebars, I found Dennis at NoPo Mobile Bike Shop. I looked at his services and prices page on his web site and gave him a call. He asked me a few questions about the bike and within minutes, I had an appointment to drop off my wife’s bike to get a new shifter cable and a new nut for the stem. My total price for the service was only $20 and he had it ready the next day. All I can say is, Thank you Dennis for your professionalism and genuine willingness to help people by providing quality service for their bicycles. I am keeping your number handy in case I decide to work on her bike again. I Love NoPo Mobile Bike Shop! Originally posted on Craig's List 2008-09-12, 1:18PM This past Saturday nite my beautiful mid-eighties Miyata lugged steel bike was bashed while locked up at SE 8th and Ash- someone apparently kicked the crankside chainstay tube, severely bending the the left side chainstay tube around the street post it was locked to, totaling the frame. Being as it was my only bike and source of transport, I was very dismayed. I found another nice frame here on Craig's List by Monday and began calling around to bike repair folks to see who could get it built up ASAP. The first few calls were not encouraging- at least two weeks before they could get to it. Then I happened across NoPo Mobile Bike Shop on a google search and called up Dennis Kelly, the owner/operator. He listened to my story and said he could come by my house at 6:30 to take a look! Dennis arrived (he's a super nice easy going fellow) and said he could get me back up and running by Thursday. Then he said, "Oh, I have a bike you could borrow. I didn't think of it to bring along tonite, but I can bring it by for you in the morning."!!!!!!! And the bike was a Puegeot PX-10! Dennis brought the PX-10 by Tuesday morning and he'd even put my pedals on it. I happily commuted to work that day and Wednesday, and on Wednesday afternoon Dennis called and said he'd have my bike ready for pickup that evening! Upon arriving at his home shop Dennis offered me a tasty pint of ale, which I happily accepted, and he put my pedals on my lovely new Fuji, which he had built up impeccably. :) So if you need some mobile bike repair on your life, for sure hit up NoPO Mobile Bike Shop He'll treat you like royalty!
